The Silk Road 2024 rally raid with the participation of Turkmen riders has started

July 5 in the Tomsk region (Russia) The Silk Road Rally Raid has started, with the participation of Turkmen riders. 106 crews from 13 countries of the world participate in the rally marathon. The crews will have to overcome a 5,243-kilometer path, including 2,992 high-speed sections. In 2024, the rally route will be laid through the Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Kemerovo regions, Altai Territory, the Altai Republic and the regions of Mongolia. The upcoming race will be special for the Silk Road Rally — this year the Project, which began its history in 2009, turns 15 years old. The rally was held for the first time in 2009 on the Kazan – Ashgabat route. During this time, the rally participants conquered almost the whole of Eurasia — from St. Petersburg to ancient Xi'an in China. Earlier, in the service park of the Silk Road International Rally, located on the territory of the Harmony sports complex in Tomsk, administrative and technical checks of the race participants were completed. The race involves ATVs, motorcycles, ATVs, buggies, SUVs, LADA Sport crews, MAZ trucks, KAMAZ, Ural Motorsport, GAZ Raid Sport and others. Two female crews are also announced for this year's race.
