Our Achievements

The development of mass physical culture and sports in Turkmenistan, in particular the involvement of young people in various sports, forms the basis of the state policy of youth and sports. Turkmen athletes have achieved outstanding success, increasing their skills and experience in many sports as a result of the consistent work, carried out in this area. Athletes-racers, acting as the national team of Turkmenistan in motor sports, also demonstrate their skills at international competitions.

Along with the already won victories of the Turkmen races in the rally, they distinguished themselves by very good results in the competitions in this type of racing in 2019. Turkmen races achieved success at the stage of the International Rally Raid World Cup, which was held from February 14 to 17, 2019.

The athletes from dozens of countries, including Finland, the Russian Federation, Lithuania, Poland, Argentina, Latvia, Italy, Oman, France, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Hungary participated in this international tournament. Drivers of the Automobile Sports Federation of Turkmenistan Muhammetmyrat Gurbanov and Shamyrat Gurbanov won the second prize at the World Cup stage from the national team of Turkmenistan in a T-2 class car. The employees of the agency “Turkmenawtoulaglary”, the pilot Merdan Toylyev and the navigator Shohrat Toylyev took the third prize in the international tournament, and were also awarded the cup and medals of the stage.

The next awards of 2019, the motto of which was: "Turkmenistan - the Motherland of Prosperity" and which absorbed historical reforms, also became part of the awards of the second stage of the sports rally-raid of the World Cup "Gold of Kagan-2019", an international tournament held in the Astrakhan region of the Russian Federation. Athletes from Russia, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Finland and Ukraine participated in the three-day rally raid "Gold of Kagan-2019".

The main goal of the run, which was held over the Astrakhan steppes with a total length of more than 700 km, was to identify the most distinguished athlete after three stages. This time, having successfully performed from February 14 to 17, 2019, at the stage of the International Rally Raid World Cup tournament held in Russia, the employees of the Production Association for the repair, sale and maintenance of vehicles of the “Turkmenawtoulaglary” agency, who won the third prize, pilot Merdan Toylyev and navigator Shohrat Toylyev, having shown all their skills in a Nissan-Patrol car, were awarded the second prize in the championship.

At present time, on a special multi-purpose area, intended for training rally races, Turkmen racers are gaining experience and preparing for future competitions.
