In May of this year, a record was set for the monthly volume of transported goods on the international routes of China-Europe railway transportation, according to data from the Chinese Railways Corporation.
Over the past month, the number of freight trains traveling along these routes increased by 14% year-on-year to 1,724. A total of 186 thousand TEU were transported, which turned out to be 13% more than a year earlier, and is a monthly record for China-Europe freight railway routes.
