The beginning of 2024 was marked by rumors that Mitsubishi is considering the possibility of reviving its famous Pajero model. At first, insiders wrote that the car could receive the Mitsubishi L200 (Triton) platform, but later information aappeared about a change in the direction of the project.
From now on, it is announced as a premium all-terrain vehicle that will challenge the Range Rover. What the new Pajero might look like was fantasized by the designer from Malaysia, Theottle.
In the renderings, the new Pajero appeared in the form of a large crossover, the design of which echoes the current generation of the Outlander SUV, as well as the new Infiniti QX80. And for a reason.
The fact is that the basis of the new Pajero should be just the Outlander trolley. Moreover, its hybrid version is PHEV.
Along with the platform, the new Pajero will borrow the powertrain from this family crossover. It is a hybrid based on a 2.4-liter gasoline 4-cylinder unit connected to an electric motor.
The car should be large and exceed the five-meter mark in length, as well as get a body width of about two meters.
They promise to show the car approximately in late 2026 – early 2027.
