President of Turkmenistan Holds Security Council Meeting

President of Turkmenistan and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General of the Army Serdar Berdimuhamedov, chaired a meeting of the State Security Council, where the results of the military and law enforcement agencies’ activities for the first two months of 2025 were reviewed. The head of state instructed to continue the modernization of the army and enhance the professionalism of servicemen, TDH reports. During the meeting, Secretary of the State Security Council and Minister of Defense B. Gundogdyev delivered a report on steps taken to strengthen the country's defense capabilities and integrate digital systems into military structures. The results of the Armed Forces Development Program and efforts to improve service conditions for officers were also presented. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that Turkmenistan’s defensive Military Doctrine serves as a reliable guarantor of peaceful life for its citizens. He highlighted the need to further equip the army with modern technology and enhance officers' professionalism. Special attention was given to the patriotic upbringing of young servicemen. Reports on activities during the specified period were also delivered by key security officials, including the Prosecutor General, the Ministers of Internal Affairs and National Security, as well as the heads of the Supreme Court, State Border Service, Customs Service, and Migration Service. Summarizing the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan noted that, in line with the country's defensive Military Doctrine, measures will continue to ensure military security, strengthen the defense capabilities of the neutral state, and improve the living conditions of the nation's defenders and their families.
