Turkmenistan has presented an investment development program for 2025 with major infrastructure projects

The Government of Turkmenistan has developed a program for socio-economic development and investment for 2025, which provides for large-scale investments in key infrastructure and energy projects. This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B.Annamammedov at a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The key areas of the investment program will be major energy and infrastructure projects, including:
1. Development of the Galkynyş gas field
2. Construction of the gas compressor station "Şatlyk-1"
3. Construction of the Serkhetabat–Herat gas pipeline section, which is part of the Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan–India international gas pipeline
4. Construction of a combined-cycle gas power plant with a capacity of 1,574 MW in the Balkan province
5. Construction of a new international airport in the village of Jebel
6. Construction of the Ashgabat–Turkmenabat international high-speed highway
7. Construction of a bridge across Garabogazgol Bay
8. Continuation of the implementation of the second stage of construction of the city of Arkadag
Investments will also be directed towards social infrastructure: residential buildings, healthcare facilities, schools, kindergartens, highways and public utilities. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed the need for strict quality control in the implementation of all projects.
