Ashgabat to host meeting of Central Asian and EU foreign ministers in March

The meeting of the foreign ministers of the Central Asian countries and the European Union (EU) will be held in March in Ashgabat. This was announced by Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Mahri Byashimova during a briefing on the results of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the EU in 2024 and plans for 2025. She recalled that the 19th meeting of the heads of the foreign policy departments of the EU and Central Asian countries was held in Luxembourg in October 2023. Based on its results, the 20th meeting is scheduled for March of this year in Ashgabat. In addition, Byashimova added that the Dialogue of Women Leaders of Central Asian and EU Countries will be held in Turkmenistan on April 7-8. The event will discuss issues of women’s participation in business, economics, education, medicine and politics. “I would like to take this opportunity to invite our colleagues working in European countries to take part in this dialogue,” she noted.
