Russian Railways opened traffic on two more stretches of BAM in the Khabarovsk Territory and the Amur Region

Russian Railways has opened traffic on the second tracks on two stretches of BAM on the Febralsk - Novy Urgal section in the Far East, the press service of Russian Railways reports. Double-track inserts were built on the bridges - Ulma (Amur region) and Tuyun - Stlannik (Khabarovsk Territory). In total, 23 km of track and 19 switches were laid during the work. In total, 37 bridges and 7 culverts were built, the earthwork of the double-track inserts was raised by almost 12 meters. The comprehensive modernization of the Febralsk - Novy Urgal line will increase its carrying capacity to 52.7 million tons per year by the end of 2024.
