The North-South International Transport Corridor has not yet fully commenced operations, but it is already changing the established standards of relations throughout Eurasia.
In particular, this concerns relations between Moscow and New Delhi, which previously were strictly limited to either political or defense issues. However, now, with the advancement of the North-South Corridor projects, Russia is also becoming an important economic destination for India.
Last year, India's exports to Russia shot up to $4.26 billion, while imports, mainly oil and oil products, amounted to $61.43 billion, which gave a strong bias in favor of Moscow. Overall, trade turnover increased by 33% compared to $49.36 billion the previous year.
