Kazakhstan will increase the transit of Turkmen gas to China

In 2024, Kazakhstan will increase the transit of Turkmen and Uzbek gas to China to 37.1 billion cubic meters, with an increase of 1.5 billion cubic meters. This was stated by the Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Almasadam Satkaliev at a Government meeting on Tuesday, July 16, reporting on the current state and prospects for the development of the gas industry, NewsCentralAsia reports.

The report also discussed the transit of Russian gas to Central Asian countries. In October last year, the transit of Russian gas to Uzbekistan was launched.

In addition, the issue of increasing the transit of Russian gas towards Kyrgyzstan is under discussion.
