According to TASS, the relevant plans of Tehran were reported by the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC).

According to the Chairman of the IAC Oleg Storchev, the effective work of the committee was highly appreciated by many states that expressed their intention to join the agreement, in particular, Iran.

As Oleg Storchevoy noted, the IAC has accumulated a wealth of experience, including in the field of aircraft certification, and plans to expand its work despite political difficulties. Also, the head of the committee does not exclude the possibility of creating new formats of interaction with the states of the region, for example, the formation of a certification organization based on the IAC for the member states of the EEC, BRICS and SCO.

The Agreement on Civil Aviation and on the Use of Airspace was signed in 1991 by the leaders of the Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova and Ukraine. Thanks to the successful work of the Interstate Aviation Committee, agreements have already been concluded with 78 States and 19 organizations.
