The heads of the parliaments of Turkmenistan and Zimbabwe discussed the prospects for interaction

A meeting of the heads of parliaments of Turkmenistan and Zimbabwe took place in Ashgabat. Dunyagozel Gulmanova, head of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, received a delegation led by Mabel Chinomona, Chairman of the Upper House of the Parliament of Zimbabwe, TDH reports.
During the conversation, Gulmanova spoke about the key aspects of the policy of Turkmenistan, the structure of the national Parliament and the practice of exchanging experience in the legislative sphere. Particular attention was paid to the country’s foreign policy, based on the principles of positive neutrality and the desire for constructive cooperation with all states, including African ones.
The meeting participants noted the presence of broad prospects for cooperation in the field of improving legislation and parliamentary activities. The possibilities of strengthening bilateral relations and developing friendly ties between peoples were discussed.
The parties emphasized that the development of inter-parliamentary interaction will contribute to the deepening of relations between Turkmenistan and Zimbabwe.
