IRICA reported on Sunday that in the first two months of the Iranian calendar year (March 20-May 20), more than 3.6 million metric tons of goods were transported through Iran, which is 56.5% more compared to the same period last year.
The Parvizkhan customs office on Iran's western borders with Iraqi Kurdistan took the first place, registering 1.07 million tons of goods over a two-month period, which accounted for 29.5% of foreign transit.
Shahid Rajai Customs in the south of the country recorded the second largest foreign transit during this period, registering 893,000 tons of goods.
In addition, 474,000 tons of goods passed through the Shoe customs, which connects Iran with Iraq, ranking third in this regard.
During this period, the largest increase in foreign transit occurred at the customs offices of Piranshahr, Sarakhs and Parvizkhan, which amounted to an increase of 726%, 294% and 238%, respectively.
