The GAC Toyota joint venture has launched an updated Toyota Sienna minivan on the Chinese market — a sample of the 2024 model year. The car has changed in the same way as the previously introduced Toyota Granvia 2024 from JV FAW Toyota — these are clone cars. The key innovation of the Toyota Sienna 2024 salon is a new media system. It is built on the SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155, has 12 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash memory, supports Apple CarPlay, Huawei HiCar and Baidu CarLife interfaces. The second row chairs have become more comfortable: there is a three-stage adjustment of heating and ventilation and a 16-point massager. USB-C ports were also added to the rear passengers. A technical innovation is all—wheel drive, implemented using two electric motors. The thrust between them can be distributed in proportions from 100: 0 (front—wheel drive) to 20: 80 (most of the thrust is on the rear wheels). The power plant is still hybrid, with a 2.5-liter engine with a capacity of 189 hp. The declared consumption (according to the WLTC calculation method) is 5.65—6.13 liters / 100 km. The base Toyota Sienna 2024 is estimated at 39.3 thousand dollars. The cheapest all—wheel drive version costs 44.3 thousand dollars, the price of the top version (and it is with front-wheel drive) is 54.6 thousand. dollars. The prices turned out to be 3.5 thousand dollars lower than the prices of the Toyota Sienna 2023.
