Chairman of the Board of Directors of Delo Group Sergey Shishkarev and CEO of Xiamen C&D Inc. Lin Mao agreed to build joint logistics chains to ensure foreign trade, develop maritime transport routes and modernize terminal and warehouse infrastructure in the two countries, the press service of the Russian company reports.
Our cooperation entails not only the development of infrastructure between the countries, but also lays the foundation for improving the lives of the population. The strategic goal of our work is to create a joint venture that will provide a full range of services within the framework of trade between Russia and China," Shishkarev said, quoted by the press service. In turn, the CEO of the Chinese corporation added that he sees great prospects for cooperation both between countries and between companies.
"<...> we expect to create working groups in the near future in the main areas that will propose concrete steps to move our cooperation into a practical plane," Mao said, his words are quoted in the message.
As part of its visit to Russia, the Chinese delegation visited the sea terminals in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region, as well as the rear terminal in the village of Shushary. Members of the Chinese delegation expressed interest in working out joint projects for the development of the Ust-Luga terminal in the Leningrad region. In addition, representatives of C&D Corporation stressed that they are actively investing in research in the field of digitalization, and are ready to share this experience.
