In April, KamAZ regained its leadership in the truck market for the first time since the beginning of 2024. Sergey Tselikov, director of the analytical agency, stated this on the live broadcast of AUTOSTAT RAM, referring to the operational data of PPK.
According to analysts' calculations, 2118 trucks of the Russian company were sold in April 2024. Thus, KAMAZ took 19% of the truck market, surpassing the Chinese SITRAK in terms of the number of vehicles sold for the first time. At the same time, the indicator of KAMAZ's April sales decreased by 31% year-on-year. SITRAK trucks also began to sell 33% less compared to April 2023, but occupy 13% of the total market, remaining in second place in popularity among buyers. On the other hand, sales of another Chinese brand have increased. By the end of April 2024, the indicator of Dong feng trucks sold increased 3.5 times year-on-year. Sales of new tractors from the Chinese company FAW increased by 9%.
