President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working video broadcast on the progress of seasonal agricultural work in the country. The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister T.Atakhalliyev, who oversees the agro-industrial complex, and khakims of velayats.
According to the State News Agency of Turkmenistan, row-to-row processing, thinning and weeding of crops are currently underway in cotton fields. Agricultural machinery and aggregates are actively involved in these works.
The work on the care and vegetation irrigation of wheat crops is in the final stage. In parallel, preparations are underway for the organized harvesting of grain crops. Measures are being taken to collect, transport to receiving points and properly store the wheat seed crop.
In accordance with the tasks set by the head of state for the organized holding of the cocoon production season, silkworm caterpillars are currently being cared for and cocoons are being harvested.
After hearing the report, Head of State Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed the need for timely and high-quality fulfillment of all agrotechnical requirements to obtain a rich harvest of crops. He instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to keep under control the conduct of seasonal work on wheat and cotton fields in accordance with regulations, as well as preparations for the upcoming grain harvest.
The President of Turkmenistan also ordered that the khakims of the velayats ensure strict control over the proper work of subordinate institutions and enterprises.
