By the end of March, 9,067 new light commercial vehicles (LCVs) were sold in Russia. This became known during the online broadcast "AUTOSTAT RAM. Operational information on the Russian car market. The results of March 2024".

Recall that these statistics are based on the data of JSC "PPK"*, but using the segmentation of the agency "AUTOSTAT". So, we refer some pickup truck models to passenger cars, not LCVs. The agency's experts note that the March result of this segment of the car market was 9.1% higher than in February.

If we compare it with the result of a year ago, then in relation to March 2023, the LCV market grew by 27.6%. The domestic brand GAZ, which owns over half (58%) of the market, remains the leader in terms of sales of light commercial equipment in the Russian Federation. So, in early spring, 5232 such LCVs were sold. The next three positions in the rating are also occupied by Russian brands – UAZ (1,518 units), Sollers (795 units) and LADA (577 units). Chinese Dongfeng closes the top five (188 units). Separately, we note that GAZ Gazelle NEXT retains the primacy in the model rating of the new LCV market, which accounted for 35% in March. As for the results of the 1st quarter of this year, 23031 copies of light commercial vehicles were sold in our country during this period. This is 40.6% more than in the three months of 2023.
