A ceremony of handing over gifts to children of the friendly Tajik people on behalf of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care was held today at the Istiqlol Medical Complex in Dushanbe, the Neutral Turkmenistan electronic newspaper reports.
The ceremony was attended by members of the Government delegation of Turkmenistan, who are in Dushanbe these days, as well as officials of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
It was noted that this humanitarian action is being carried out in accordance with the Order of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, following the ancient traditions of good-natured relations and humanism of the Turkmen people.
During the gift-giving ceremony, song and musical compositions glorifying friendship and brotherhood were performed by cultural figures and masters of art of the two countries.
Representatives of the Tajik side expressed sincere gratitude to President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people for the textiles and confectionery, clothing, medicines and medical supplies donated to Tajik children.
