The President of Turkmenistan took part in the celebrations on the occasion of Victory Day in Moscow

On May 9, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in a parade on Red Square in honor of the 79th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

Earlier, the head of state met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin's Coat of Arms Hall.

At the Victory Day Parade, Russian President Vladimir Putin traditionally made a speech.

After the military parade, the heads of state participating in the celebrations laid a flower garland of dark red roses, intertwined with a St. George ribbon, at the Grave of the Unknown Soldier* in the Alexander Garden.

The ceremony was attended by President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Cuba Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic Thonglong Sisulit and President The Republic of Guinea-Bissau to Oumaru Sissoku Embalo.

Over 10,000 people and more than 120 pieces of military equipment took part in the parade on Red Square. Traditionally, all types and branches of the Russian Armed Forces are represented in the parade on foot.
