During his visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Deputy Director General of the Balkan Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant held a number of meetings with the management of Royal IHC, the world leader in dredging and dredger construction.

The meetings were held at the Royal IHC headquarters in the city of Sliedrecht. The Deputy General Director of Balkan presented to the company's management information about the capacities and technical capabilities of the plant, as well as about the experience in repairing ships and a new project for the construction of the first dry cargo ships.

Special attention was paid to the Balkan initiative in the development of bilateral cooperation with Royal IHC in the field of localization and joint construction of dredgers on the territory of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the Turkmen side expressed interest in using Royal IHC design documents for the construction of dredgers at the Balkan plant. The Royal IHC management, in turn, enthusiastically supported this initiative and declared their readiness to work together. The parties agreed to work out technical and price proposals for the implementation of the project.

The cooperation between Balkan and Royal IHC will be a significant event for the shipbuilding industry of Turkmenistan. It is expected that this partnership will increase the production of dredgers in Turkmenistan, create new jobs, improve the skills of Turkmen specialists, as well as reduce the cost of purchasing dredgers.

Currently, more than 90 dredgers of this company are used in Turkmenistan. Cooperation with Royal IHC will allow not only to upgrade the dredger fleet, but also to reach a new level of development of the country's shipbuilding industry.
