According to the results of the first two months of this year, the export of ships from China increased sharply, both in volume and in value, Xinhua news agency reports, citing data from the General Customs Administration of the People's Republic of China.

In January-February 2024, China supplied 937 ships to foreign suppliers, which is 59.9% more than in the first two months of last year. At the same time, the value of exports increased by 180.6% to 48.25 billion yuan ($6.8 billion).

As of the end of 2023, three main indicators of the shipbuilding industry – production volume, new orders and existing orders – provided China with a leading position in the global shipbuilding market for the 14th year in a row, the Ministry of Industry and Informatization of the People's Republic of China reported.
