18.03.2024
Russian Railways presented a train design for high-speed highways (HSR). Compared to conventional high–speed trains, it has a sharper and more streamlined front part - the "mask".

Similar high–speed trains are planned to be launched along the Moscow - Petersburg HSR.

As previously noted by the head of Russian Railways Oleg Belozerov, it will be an 8-car train with a maximum speed of 400 km/h, cruising speed will be 360 km/h. The number of wagons can also be increased to 16, writes TASS.

To date, all preparatory stages have been completed for the start of construction of two new production buildings in which trains for the HSR will be produced. The assembly of the train is scheduled to begin in 2026.
