The foreign object recognition system was installed at a crossing in Moscow. This is reported on the official website of the Moscow Railway (MZHD), reports TASS.
"In Moscow, an intelligent system for detecting obstacles at the crossing has been introduced at the intersection of Svetly Passage with the railway in the Pokrovskoye-Streshnevo area. At a low–intensity crossing without an employee on duty, a foreign object recognition system has been installed, which online signals the dispatcher about the detection of an obstacle in the control zone of the crossing," the message says.
It is noted that when the train is on the site, the information received is transmitted to the locomotive crew, which takes all necessary measures to prevent a collision with an obstacle.
"To prevent accidents on the Moscow Railway, a set of measures is being implemented, including maintenance and repair of crossings, as well as the introduction of advanced technologies that increase safety," concluded the Ministry of Railways.
