A new road sign has appeared on the roads of France, which restricts the movement of commercial vehicles. About this Logistician.Today learned from the material published on the portal routiers.com .
The new sign, which is a white diamond on a blue (sometimes black) background, indicates a lane, usually on the left, designed specifically for sharing:
- by public transport;
- taxi;
- vehicles carrying at least two people, including the driver;
- vehicles with "very low emissions" (with a Crit'Air sticker with zero emissions).
Heavy-duty trucks and other commercial vehicles are prohibited from driving in the lane marked with this sign. A fine of 135 euros is provided for violation.
The publication notes that similar road signs are installed on multi-lane highways in Lille, Lyon, Grenoble, Strasbourg, Rennes and Nantes.
Logistician.Today reminds that at the end of 2022, road services on the German A9 motorway between Munich and Ingolstadt installed new signs, which, as it turned out, were not intended for either drivers or pedestrians.
