The GDP growth rate of Turkmenistan amounted to 6.3% in the four months of this year. This was announced during a Government meeting by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers H.Geldimyradov, TDH reports.
According to him, in comparison with the same period in 2023, the volume of products produced in the country increased by 11.4%, production indicators by industry are positive.
Since the beginning of the year, retail turnover has increased by 11.1% compared to the same period last year.
The revenue part of the State Budget was executed at the level of 102.6%, and the expenditure part – 97.4%.
Wages for large and medium–sized enterprises of the country in comparison with the corresponding period of 2023 in January-April are 10.4% higher. Salaries, pensions, state benefits and student scholarships have been funded in a timely manner.
Compared to the same period last year, the volume of disbursed capital investments increased by 23.9% in four months.
Data on the implementation of the National Rural Program were also presented.
After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to continue the work aimed at further growth of the indicators achieved in January–April of this year. In addition, the Deputy Prime Minister was instructed to continue to carry out programmatic activities to strengthen the country's economic potential and improve the social and living standards of the population.
