The President of Turkmenistan, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, Army General Serdar Berdimuhamedov, held a regular meeting of the State Security Council, at which the results of the work of the country's military and law enforcement agencies for January-April of this year were summed up. Issues of ensuring security and peace in our independent Homeland, strengthening the material and technical base of law enforcement agencies, and further improving their activities were also discussed.
In addition, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country instructed to ensure a high organizational level of the celebrations scheduled for May 9 in the capital and velayats on the occasion of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.
The Head of State stressed that, in accordance with the defensive Military doctrine of Turkmenistan, measures are being taken to ensure the high level of security and integrity of the independent neutral Homeland. Priority attention is paid to strengthening the country's defense capability, improving the social and living conditions of defenders of the Fatherland and their family members, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov said, noting that work in this direction will continue.
