Turkmenistan Approves Cultural Events Plan for June

Deputy Chairperson of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Bahar Seyidova, presented the plan of major cultural events scheduled for June during a government meeting, according to the Turkmen State News Agency (TDH).
The plan includes a series of festive and sporting events in honor of International Children's Day, World Bicycle Day, World Environment Day, Science Day, Culture and Art Workers’ Day, and the Poetry Day of Magtymguly Fragi. The results of previously announced creative competitions will also be summarized during this period.
Among the highlights is the final round of the "Çalsana, bagşy!" competition for dutar-playing bakhshi musicians, to be held in the Dashoguz, Lebap, and Mary provinces.
One of the key events of the month will be the international dance and folklore festival “Awaza — Land of Friendship,” which will take place from June 2 to 7 in the National Tourist Zone “Awaza.” On June 6, a closing ceremony will mark the end of the Year of Culture of Turkmenistan in the People’s Republic of China. From June 22 to 27, cultural events will be held in Ahal province as part of Culture Week.
On June 27, in celebration of Magtymguly Fragi Poetry Day, a flower-laying ceremony will take place at the monument to the great poet and thinker in the “Magtymguly Pyragy” cultural and park complex. Additionally, on June 29, musical festivities will be held to commemorate the second anniversary of the founding of the city of Arkadag.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of thorough preparations for the June events and instructed the Deputy Chairperson of the Cabinet to ensure their high-level organization.
