The National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, called on Islamic countries to establish a unified energy, transport, and technology belt across Eurasia, connecting the continent from the Asia-Pacific region to the Middle East and Europe. His remarks came during the plenary session of the “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum,” as reported by TDH. “Turkmenistan’s approach to international economic cooperation prioritizes the energy, transport-logistics, and technology sectors. In this context, I believe Islamic countries are called upon to create a unified energy, transport, and technology belt across Eurasia, linking the continent from the Asia-Pacific to the countries of the Middle East and Europe,” said the National Leader of the Turkmen People. According to Berdimuhamedov, the implementation of this concept would provide the shortest delivery routes for energy resources, goods, and services, uniting vast territories as well as industrial and resource hubs. Strategically, such a belt could serve as a bridge for global cooperation and have a positive impact on trade and tariff policies, as well as the overall state of the world economy.
