Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Rustam Minnikhanov discussed the development of cooperation

National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Head of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov held a bilateral meeting within the framework of the XVI International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum 2025", noting the high level of development of interregional relations, TDH reports. During the meeting, held in the Kazan Kremlin, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Tatarstan, highlighting priority areas of interaction in the trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. "Cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Tatarstan is developing in an ascending line across the entire spectrum of interaction," Rustam Minnikhanov said, emphasizing the merits of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in strengthening bilateral relations. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, in turn, expressed confidence that the current visit of the delegation of Turkmenistan "will be a significant contribution to the expansion of bilateral relations, which are an important component of the strategic Turkmen-Russian partnership." Following the talks, it was stated that Turkmenistan and Tatarstan productively cooperate in the oil and gas industry, shipbuilding, as well as in the supply of aviation and automotive cargo equipment. The parties also noted the importance of the visit of the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan to Turkmenistan this year, during which important agreements were reached that contribute to the further development of interregional partnership. A reception was held in honor of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, which was attended by State Counselor of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev. The participants of the meeting expressed confidence in the further intensification of cooperation "in the interests of the well-being of the peoples of Turkmenistan and Tatarstan."
