President of Turkmenistan Congratulated the Country's Entrepreneurs on the 17th Anniversary of the UIET

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated Turkmen entrepreneurs and industrialists on the 17th anniversary of the establishment of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET). He sent a message to the participants of the exhibition and the International Forum "Investments in the Future of Turkmenistan," which begins today at the country's Chamber of Commerce and Industry. TDH published the text of the congratulatory message: Dear participants of the exhibition and forum! Dear guests! I sincerely congratulate you on the 17th anniversary of the establishment of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, as well as on the opening of the exhibition of industrialists and entrepreneurs and the International Forum "Investments in the Future of Turkmenistan" dedicated to this significant date! The development of the country's private sector is one of the priorities of the national economy. The large-scale events taking place today also demonstrate that members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, benefiting from state support, have become a driving force of our sovereign homeland's economy. Dear members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs! To ensure high economic growth rates of our independent homeland, continue an active investment policy, systematically implement measures aimed at strengthening the economic potential of the country's regions, and further improve the social and living conditions of the population, we are carrying out large-scale state programs, as well as major regional and national projects. The program "Revival of a New Era of a Powerful State: The National Program for the Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan for 2022–2052" places great importance on public-private sector partnerships, the widespread introduction of efficient business methods, and the active involvement of entrepreneurs in this process under market economy conditions. Currently, Turkmen businessmen are impressively implementing state policies in the fields of scientific and technological reforms, the extensive use of digital economy opportunities, and the development of industry, agriculture, and services in line with modern requirements. Individual entrepreneurs, who have become a driving force in this new economic direction, are executing significant projects and making a substantial contribution to economic development and the well-being of our people. The private sector is launching modern production facilities for import-substituting, competitive, and export-oriented products, creating new jobs, and strengthening food and commodity abundance in the country. As a result of ongoing efforts to modernize the business environment and expand small, medium, and large enterprises, the share of the private sector in the economy is steadily growing. The "Program for the Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan and Investments in 2025" envisions further state support for small and medium-sized businesses, increasing the share of the private sector in the economy by improving the business structure, and raising the non-state sector's share in GDP to 71.6%. This program is crucial in transforming the country into an industrially developed state, successfully implementing market economy reforms that ensure economic diversification and adaptation to digitalization, and creating new jobs. Given the significant increase in the role of private ownership in the implementation of our country's development programs and the continuous advancement of modern reforms, we will continue to provide state support for entrepreneurs in the future. Dear participants of the exhibition and forum! We are pleased with the achievements and successes of the members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan over the past 17 years and their valuable contribution to the country's development. The products and services of Turkmen entrepreneurs must set an example of modern quality. A focus on innovation, science, and advanced technologies, as well as sustainable development and adherence to the principles of the "green" economy, are characteristic of our private sector representatives.
