Turkmenistan’s State Commodity Exchange Concludes $10 Million in Transactions

Last week, 11 transactions were registered at the auctions of Turkmenistan’s State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange, totaling over $10,274,000, with the majority involving the export of energy carriers and industrial goods, TDH reports. Business representatives from Turkey and Afghanistan purchased liquefied gas and aviation kerosene produced at the technological facilities of the State Concern "Türkmennebit" for foreign currency. Among other goods sold for foreign currency were Portland cement, cotton yarn, various types of bedding, and denim products. Buyers of these products included companies from the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Afghanistan, and Kyrgyzstan. In addition to export transactions, domestic entrepreneurs purchased licorice root tea and cotton waste for the domestic market, amounting to over 724,000 manats.
