President of Turkmenistan Approves Digitalization of Postal Services via IPS System

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has approved the implementation of the International Postal System (IPS), enabling the national postal service "Türkmenpoçta" to meet modern international standards for postal exchange, reports TDH. The proposal was presented by M. Chakyyev, Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications, during a Cabinet of Ministers meeting. A member of the Universal Postal Union since 1993, Turkmenistan aims to enhance its competitiveness in e-commerce and postal service digitalization. The IPS system offers advanced software for efficient mail management and electronic data exchange. The head of state instructed the Agency's leadership to address the organizational aspects of integrating the new digital system and emphasized the importance of professional development for specialists in this field.
