Kazakhstan to update automobile checkpoint on the border with Turkmenistan

In 2025, Kazakhstan plans to modernize nine automobile checkpoints on the border with three countries – Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and China, the press service of the Kazakh government reports. "A full-scale modernization of automobile checkpoints continues in Kazakhstan. As of today, a total of 9 checkpoints on the border with China, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan have been updated," the report says. According to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic, as part of the planned work, it is expected to increase the capacity up to six times a day, from an average of 170 to 960 vehicles, as well as reduce the time to cross the border to 30 minutes.
