Official visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Malaysia begins

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov left for an official visit to Malaysia, TDH reports.

At the international airport of Ashgabat, the head of state was seen off by officials. After some time, the presidential airliner landed at the International Airport of the capital of Malaysia, decorated with the national flags of the two countries. From the airport, the Head of State went to the residence allocated for the duration of the official visit.

As the agency notes, the development of constructive relations with the countries of the Asia-Pacific region is one of the priority areas of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy, based on the principles of neutrality, peacefulness, mutually beneficial and equal cooperation with all interested countries of the world.

Turkmenistan and Malaysia are linked by friendly relations based on the traditions of mutual respect. Currently, cooperation between the countries is successfully developing within the framework of international organizations, in particular, within the framework of the UN, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Non-Aligned Movement and other international organizations.

The visit Is expected to include high-level talks that will be another step in deepening the traditional relations between Turkmenistan and Malaysia.
