The Joint Stock Company "Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan" (TULM) has initiated an unprecedented logistics route by sending the first container train from Tashkent with a cargo of urea destined for delivery to Brazil. According to TULM, the train, consisting of 54 forty-foot containers, each carrying 28 tons of fertilizer, has become the first direct freight route of its kind.

The train's route passes through several countries: from Uzbekistan, the train will head to the port of Turkmenbashi, then transit through the territories of Azerbaijan and Georgia to reach the port of Poti. In the Georgian port, the containers will be transferred to a sea vessel, which will deliver them to the Brazilian port of Paranaguá. The total delivery time for the cargo will be 60-70 days: 20 days for the rail segment and 35-45 days for the sea crossing.
