On December 16, Ashgabat hosted the Turkmen-American Business Forum, which was attended by a delegation of American businessmen led by Eric Stewart, Executive Director of the Turkmen-American Business Council. The visit of the head of the business council is aimed at expanding productive cooperation between the business circles of the two countries, TDH reports.

The forum participants emphasized the traditionally friendly nature of Turkmen-American relations based on the principles of equality and mutual respect. The parties expressed their readiness to increase multifaceted interaction in the areas of trade, investment and business-to-business cooperation.

Turkmenistan, which is implementing a strategy of economic diversification, demonstrates openness to effective cooperation with American partners. The country has created favorable investment conditions and legal mechanisms for doing business, which attracts more and more foreign companies.

American companies such as John Deere, Case, General Electric and Boeing are already successfully operating in strategically important sectors of the Turkmen economy. The forum participants discussed prospects for cooperation in various sectors, including the fuel and energy complex, transport, communications, construction, innovative technologies, healthcare and ecology.

The event included meetings of representatives of relevant ministries, departments and private companies, where plans for the further development of bilateral economic relations were worked out in detail. The Turkmen-American Business Council continues to play a key role in strengthening economic ties between the countries.
