President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received credentials from the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan Ravshanbek Alimov. During the meeting, the diplomat conveyed greetings and best wishes from President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and emphasized the importance of Turkmen-Uzbek relations based on long-standing ties of friendship and brotherhood, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
Ambassador Ravshanbek Alimov noted that it was a great honor for him to represent his country in Turkmenistan, with which Uzbekistan shares common spiritual, cultural and historical values. He also congratulated President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the 29th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality status.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in turn, congratulated the diplomat on his appointment and expressed confidence in the further strengthening of the Turkmen-Uzbek dialogue.
