President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received congratulations from the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, reports TDH.

'Dear President of Turkmenistan!

On behalf of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, I sincerely congratulate you on the unanimous adoption of the resolution 'Treaty on a Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zone in Central Asia' at the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, initiated by our country, in the year 'The Treasury of Wisdom of Magtymguly Pyragy,' on the eve of the celebration of the permanent neutrality of our Motherland.

I wish you good health, long life, and further great success in your extensive activities aimed at enhancing the international authority of our independent Motherland and the triumph of its peace-loving principles.

Dear President!

The further development of cooperation with the United Nations for the sake of peace and security is one of the main directions of your foreign policy. Under your leadership, our country consistently implements a foreign policy course based on the legal status of permanent neutrality, on the principles of peace, good neighborliness, mutual respect, and equal partnership. Issues of peace and security occupy an important place in this policy. In this context, Turkmenistan adheres to the principle of the integrity of security, the inseparability, and interconnection of its various aspects.

Our esteemed President!

Thanks to your humane foreign policy, the legal status of our country's permanent neutrality is currently acquiring a new qualitative dimension. The role of Turkmen neutrality in the region and on the world stage is increasing. Today, your calls aimed at strengthening the culture of peace and trust between states are receiving broad support in the international community as a valuable initiative.

Strengthening stability in the region is an integral part of ensuring global security. Promoting peace and harmony in Afghanistan, providing economic and humanitarian assistance to the neighboring country are among the important aspects of Turkmenistan's priority positions. In the context of modern realities, the significant role of Turkmen neutrality and the need to use its capabilities are once again vividly manifested. One concrete example is the creation of the Group of Friends of Neutrality for Peace, Security, and Sustainable Development.

Our esteemed President!

In October of this year, at the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, the resolution 'Central Asia – a Zone of Peace, Trust, and Cooperation' was unanimously adopted at the initiative of Turkmenistan. It is a great honor for our Motherland that the initiative of neutral Turkmenistan was supported by the majority of member states of the Community of Nations, and all countries of the region became its co-authors. This is a clear testimony to the implementation of the 'open door' policy.

The work carried out by the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia, including the systematic strengthening of the format of Consultative Meetings of the Heads of State of Central Asia, the Dialogue of Women of Central Asian States, the holding of the International Youth Forum 'Dialogue – Guarantee of Peace' in the city of Arkadag, and the organization of the Central Asian Youth Forum have further strengthened relations between the five friendly countries.

Dear Arkadagly Hero Serdar!

On behalf of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, I once again sincerely congratulate you on the good news from New York about the unanimous adoption of the resolution 'Treaty on a Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zone in Central Asia' at the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, initiated by our country.

I wish you good health, long life, and further success in your endeavors for the benefit of the people and the country, which have universal significance!' the message reads.
