The President of Turkmenistan held a working meeting on agricultural issues

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahalliyev and the heads of the velayats, dedicated to the implementation of the National Rural Program and the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns, reports TDH. It was noted that these days, work is underway in the velayats to harvest cotton to the last boll. To ensure uniform wheat germination, care is being taken in accordance with agrotechnical standards, including the application of mineral fertilizers and vegetative irrigation. In addition, plowing and enriching the soil with mineral fertilizers are being carried out on the areas that will be sown with cotton next year. At the same time, the fleet of agricultural machinery is being updated, and special equipment and units that will be used in the spring sowing are being repaired. To supply farmers with sufficient bioproducts next year, reconstruction work is being carried out at bioproduction enterprises in the velayats where necessary, as well as ensuring their supply with raw materials and equipment. In the Mary velayat, measures are being taken to harvest sugar beets and complete this season on time. Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of the agricultural sector in the development of the national economy, noting in this context the need to carry out current seasonal activities at a proper quality and organizational level. The Vice Premier was instructed to keep these issues in sight. Then, addressing the participants of the working meeting, the President of the country emphasized the importance of wheat care. In this regard, the head of state ordered to ensure control over the irrigation of fields at the first signs of sprouting, the application of mineral fertilizers to the soil in accordance with agrotechnical standards, and the timely implementation of weed control measures to obtain good germination. The head of state noted the importance of harvesting "white gold" to the last boll, also instructing to keep strict control over the plowing of fields for next year's cotton sowing and the application of phosphorus fertilizers to the soil. In addition, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the need to provide farmers with agricultural machinery for seasonal activities, to properly organize the production of bioproducts at bioproduction enterprises, to maintain them at a proper level, and to ensure their timely supply with raw materials. At the same time, the President of Turkmenistan instructed to fully settle accounts with cotton producers, to control payments for fuel consumption for agricultural machinery in farmers' associations, to ensure timely mutual settlements between cotton and wheat producers and service enterprises for this year's cotton harvest and next year's wheat, to harvest sugar beets in the Mary velayat without losses, and to keep track of the tasks provided for by the National Rural Program. Along with this, the President of the country ordered to prepare at a high level for the International Day of Neutrality. In addition, it is necessary to ensure continuous control during the holidays over the supply of markets and stores with a variety of products, to properly prepare for the opening of social and production facilities in the velayats. At the end of the working meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished the participants good health, family well-being, and success in fulfilling the tasks set.
