BYD sets a record for electric vehicle sales

BYD Auto posted impressive sales growth. In November of this year, the company sold 506 804 cars, which is 67,87% higher than the same period last year, reports auto.ru. A detailed analysis of sales shows that the bulk of the volume came from passenger cars at 504 003 units, with an increase of 67,23% year-on-year. Notably, hybrid sales showed a slight decline of 1,6% compared to October for the first time in eight months. BYD's commercial sector is also showing strong growth. In November, 2 801 commercial vehicles were sold, which is 433,52% more than last year’s result and 31,44% higher than the October figures. However, it is worth noting some muted results in the international market. Outside China, the company sold 30 977 electric and hybrid vehicles, which is only slightly - 1,14% - higher than last year's November result and even slightly reduced (0,69%) compared to October 2024.
