Land Port of Alashankou Sets Record in Cargo Throughput

Alashankou, a major land port in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in northwest China, recorded one million tons of cargo turnover this year as of Saturday, November 23. This was reported by inbusiness.kz, citing China Central Television (CCTV+).
For the first time, the port has handled over one million tons of annual cargo throughput.
Alashankou, also known as the Alatau Pass, serves as a crucial hub connecting China with Central Asia and Europe, facilitating the transport of goods such as food products, automobiles, accessories, minerals, and other commodities.
In the first 10 months of this year, the port's customs office oversaw a total of 104,000 international cargo vehicles entering and exiting the port.
