Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow proposed that the Council of Elders of the OTS create its own media outlet

During a working visit to Hungary, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, participated in the 16th meeting of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Budapest. Speaking as a member of the Council and an honorary guest, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty put forward several initiatives. According to the 'Watan' news program of Turkmen television, one of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow's proposals was to create a dedicated media outlet for the Council of Elders of the OTS. Specifically, the National Leader of the Turkmen people proposed establishing a newspaper, magazine, or website for the Council of Elders. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow also noted that since 1991, the 'Zaman' newspaper has been published in Turkmenistan in collaboration with Turkish colleagues, and it continues to be published to this day.
