Turkmenistan participated in the 5th meeting of foreign ministers in the "CA - China" format

Yesterday, a delegation from Turkmenistan, led by Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov, participated in the fifth meeting of foreign ministers in the 'Central Asia - China' format, held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province (PRC). This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The heads of the foreign ministries of Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and China discussed priority areas of cooperation and outlined relevant directions for further partnership. There was an exchange of views on a number of international issues on the regional and global agenda. The diplomats also discussed preparations for the upcoming second summit in the 'Central Asia - China' format, strengthening and developing political relations, key directions for further business cooperation, maintaining and expanding trade ties, and ensuring energy and transport connectivity. The meeting then continued in an expanded format. Special attention was paid to the need to consolidate joint efforts to ensure long-term peace and stability, enhance political, trade-economic, and investment cooperation, and expand humanitarian ties. The Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan noted that the culture of respectful dialogue forms the basis for further strengthening trust and peace between countries and peoples, and it cannot be limited by time.
