25.11.2024
A training seminar on the SCAFFOLD teaching methodology was held for 100 teachers from higher, secondary, and primary vocational schools, as well as secondary general education schools of Turkmenistan. This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan. The training took place at the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan and was organized by the Ministry of Education and the Delegation of the European Union to Turkmenistan within the framework of the regional project 'Dialogue and Action for Resourceful Youth in Central Asia' (DARYA) of the European Training Foundation (ETF). The training was conducted during the visit of international experts: K.I. Hemschmeyer, the coordinator for Central Asia of the ETF, and R. Turayeva-Hyonen, an international expert and member of the SCAFFOLD methodology team of the DARYA project, to Turkmenistan from November 18 to 24. The comprehensive SCAFFOLD methodology includes working with 102 cards and allows teachers to conduct educational activities from planning to assessment. The main goal of this set of cards is to make the framework of key competencies more accessible and easy for teachers to use. SCAFFOLD provides the opportunity to combine the content of lessons with the necessary knowledge in each competency, thanks to structured prompts that help organize the learning process and assess students' achievements, the source notes
