The head of Turkmenistan has decreed to ensure the production of the appropriate volumes of cotton in 2025

President of Turkmenistan signed a decree aimed at further increasing the country's cotton production based on the rational use of land, water, agricultural machinery, and mineral fertilizers, as well as the high-quality implementation of agrotechnical measures. This was reported by TDH. According to the document, the Ministry of Agriculture, the State Concern "Türkmenpagta," and the administrations of Ahal, Balkan, Dashoguz, Lebap, and Mary provinces are tasked with: • Ensuring the production of the appropriate volumes of cotton in Turkmenistan in 2025 by organizing the work of leaseholders, land users, and landowners at a high level; • Allocating cotton seeds by district, taking into account soil and climatic conditions, in accordance with the plan approved by the Ministry of Agriculture. Based on contracts with cotton producers, they are instructed to ensure, within the appropriate agrotechnical deadlines: • The State Concern "Türkmenpagta" with the necessary volumes of high-quality cotton seeds; • The State Association "Türkmenobahyzmat" with technical services related to land preparation for sowing, cotton planting, crop care, and cotton harvesting; • The State Committee for Water Management with the necessary volumes of irrigation water; • The State Concern "Türkmenhimiýa" with the necessary volumes of fertilizers.
