The forum of rectors of universities of Central Asia 'Transformation of Central Asian Universities in the Context of Global Challenges,' dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region, is being held at the state residence of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
In her speech, the Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva, noted that universities should be centers of innovation and sustainable development.
During the plenary session and panel discussions, rectors of universities from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan will discuss issues of university transformation, academic partnership, and the integration of science and business. The signing of cooperation memorandums between the universities of the region and the adoption of the forum's final declaration are also expected.
