In the regions of Turkmenistan, active preparation of land for the spring sowing campaign is underway. On the freed fields, mineral fertilization and plowing are being carried out, and measures are being taken to ensure the efficient operation of agricultural machinery, reports TDH.
This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister Tangryguly Atahalliyev during the regular government meeting. According to him, alongside the preparation for spring work, the active phase of the current agricultural season continues in the country.
Currently, care is being taken for winter wheat crops, including irrigation, application of mineral fertilizers, and weed control. These measures are aimed at achieving a high grain yield next year and strengthening the country's food security.
In the Dashoguz and Lebap regions, rice harvesting continues, while in the Mary region, sugar beet harvesting is underway. Work is also being carried out to collect the remaining cotton and process it.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedow, after hearing the report, instructed to keep all agricultural work under strict control and emphasized the need for further comprehensive development of the country's agro-industrial sector. The head of state paid special attention to the timely harvesting of crops and preparation for the upcoming spring sowing.
