The railway administrations of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan will implement competitive tariffs

During the 81st meeting of the Council for Rail Transport of the Commonwealth of Independent States, a bilateral meeting was held between the Chairman of the Board of JSC "Uzbekistan Railways" Z. Narzullaev and the Chairman of the Agency of Railways of Turkmenistan Azat Atamuradov to further strengthen relations between the railway administrations of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. The parties discussed important issues of expanding bilateral cooperation in the railway sector, according to the media center of "Uzbekistan Railways". During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of increasing freight transportation, extending tariffs for railway transportation, and establishing cooperation in the modernization of freight and passenger car fleets. In addition, they agreed to work on introducing competitive tariffs and the efficient use of wagons to increase transit transportation. These issues create broad opportunities for further development of regional trade and transport links.
