I wholeheartedly congratulate you on the commencement of the International Conference and Exhibition 'Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan – 2024,' organized in Ashgabat in the year dedicated to 'The Treasury of Wisdom of Magtymguly Pyragy'! The annual industry exhibition and conference 'Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan' serve as a platform for constructive discussions on the priorities in the development of the national fuel and energy complex, ways to enhance targeted mutually beneficial partnerships, methods for introducing new technologies in the oil and gas sector, and modernizing production. The specialized exhibition within the framework of the international forum provides visitors with the opportunity to directly familiarize themselves with innovations, modern developments, and new projects. Dear compatriots! Honorable guests! Independent Turkmenistan, possessing colossal hydrocarbon reserves, strives to utilize natural resources not only in the national interest but also in the interests of other peoples of the region and the world, and in this regard, the consolidation of efforts is the main factor in achieving the set goals. We have achieved positive dynamics in expanding international partnerships in the fuel and energy sector. Diversification of export potential, the creation of an extensive pipeline network, constitute one of the priorities of our state's energy strategy. The 'Galkynyş' gas field, which occupies one of the leading positions in the world ranking in terms of 'blue' fuel reserves, serves as a raw material base for diversifying natural gas supplies to international markets. Its phased targeted development through foreign investments guarantees the strength of the financial-economic and legal framework for participation in such a large investment project on the one hand, and the reliability of natural gas reserves for the return of invested funds on the other. In this regard, the Turkmen side is always ready to consider proposals taking into account the interests of each party. Recently, in the Mary region, we launched major projects – the laying of the Serhetabat–Herat section, called 'Arkadagyň ak ýoly' and being the main link of the Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan–India gas pipeline project, and the 'Şatlyk-1' gas compressor station. They are designed to support regional energy security, contribute to the well-being of the peoples of neighboring states and the region, and create a sustainable economic environment. We will continue to implement such projects. Dear participants of the international conference and exhibition! In our country, tasks are being successfully solved to identify new oil and gas condensate fields and increase their industrial reserves, improve the efficiency of geological exploration, and accelerate the development of oil and gas-bearing formations through the attraction of foreign capital. It is worth noting the effective cooperation with foreign companies in the development of underground storages using scientific and practical developments, as well as new technologies. We pay special attention not only to increasing the extraction of hydrocarbon resources but also to their processing for the subsequent production of high-quality environmentally friendly products. In this area, broad international cooperation has been established, aimed at comprehensive environmental protection and protection against harmful emissions. Dear friends! Honorable guests! Today, Turkmenistan provides significant opportunities for all those interested in equal and mutually beneficial cooperation: confidence in the economic stability of our state encourages foreign businesses to invest in promising projects. I am convinced that the international conference and exhibition will play a significant role in the context of exchanging experiences and opinions between domestic specialists and foreign partners, establishing broad cooperation in the future.
